What NDIS SIL registration documentation actually costs, 2026

Published prices range from A$297 to A$5,200 ex GST. A large part of the market publishes no price at all. Below is every price we could find and verify, what each product actually is, and the distinction that decides whether any of it is the right purchase for you. Prices checked 31 July 2026.

If a price here is wrong, out of date, or your product is described unfairly, email hello@silready.com and we will correct it and note the correction. That is the whole point of maintaining this page rather than writing it once.

The index

Ordered by price. "Ex GST" and "inc GST" are reproduced as the vendor states them, because several do not state it and the difference is 10%.

The consultants who publish no price

This is not a criticism. Consulting scope genuinely varies by provider size, number of houses, participant complexity and how much of your existing documentation survives review, and a firm that quotes after a scoping call is behaving reasonably. But it is a fact of the market worth recording, because a provider comparing options cannot compare what is not published.

The only published whole-of-process figures we found

Sky Staff's market range: A$8,000 to A$25,000+

Sky Staff states that total SIL registration costs "typically range from $8,000 to $25,000+ depending on your organisation's size", and breaks that down as:

Certification auditA$3,000 – A$12,000+
InsuranceA$2,000 – A$8,000 annually
Policy developmentA$2,000 – A$8,000 if consultant-prepared
NDIS consultant feesA$2,000 – A$10,000
Worker screening checksA$107 – A$157 per worker

This is one firm's estimate, not an industry survey, and Sky Staff sells into this market. We reproduce it because it is the only published breakdown of the full cost we located, and because it usefully shows how small the documentation line is against the total. If you have data that contradicts it, send it to us.

The distinction that decides whether you bought the right thing

Read the "what it is" column again. Almost everything on the market is one of two quite different purchases, and providers routinely buy one believing they have bought the other.

Policy and template documents. The documents your organisation runs on: a risk management policy, an incident register, a service agreement, a training record, a medication chart. They are the machinery. An auditor will ask to see them and they need to exist, be current, and match what you actually do. Most products in the table above are this, and at A$297 to A$1,095 they are usually good value against writing 90 documents yourself.
Self-assessment answers. The written responses you give the NDIS Commission and your auditor, explaining how your service meets each outcome in the SIL module. Not a policy. A description of practice, in prose, specific to your houses, your staffing model and your participants. This is what the auditor reads first and it is where an application stalls.

The two are not substitutes. A complete set of policies with a thin self-assessment will still attract questions, because the self-assessment is where you demonstrate that the policies are real. Equally, strong self-assessment answers describing controls you do not have documented will not survive evidence review. You generally need both, and it is entirely reasonable to buy them from different places.

Where products sit on this line, as at 31 July 2026: NDISCompliant, Paperbark, NDIS University and Provider Audit Ready describe their products as editable policies, forms and registers. Provider360's Module 5A package includes both templates and sample self-assessment answers. SIL Ready's pack is self-assessment answers and does not include a policy library. Ask before you buy, in writing, which of the two you are getting — the vendors above all answer this question straightforwardly, and the confusion is usually the buyer's assumption rather than the seller's wording.

What you still pay for separately

None of the prices in the index cover the following. Budget for them independently.

ItemWho you payNote
The auditAn approved quality auditorNot payable to any vendor above; none of them audit you and none can. Sky Staff's published range for a certification audit is A$3,000 to A$12,000+, varying with size, number of sites and scope.
Your own timeYourselfThe largest hidden cost. Every product in the index is editable, which means somebody has to do the editing and make it true of your service. Templates that stay generic fail evidence review.
InsuranceYour insurerPublic liability and professional indemnity are checked at registration. Sky Staff publishes A$2,000 to A$8,000 annually.
ABN, entity, governanceASIC / ATO / your accountantEntity registration and governance documents sit outside every documentation pack.
Worker screeningState screening unitPer worker. Sky Staff publishes A$107 to A$157 each.
The NDIS application itselfNobodySubmitting the initial online application is free, as Engels Floyd notes. The cost is the audit that follows.

How this page was made

  1. Every price was read off the vendor's own public page on 31 July 2026 and is reproduced as stated, including whether it is inc or ex GST and whether it is a promotional price.
  2. Product descriptions come from the vendor's own copy. We have summarised, not editorialised. Where a vendor describes something as "sample self-assessment answers" or "editable templates", we have used their framing.
  3. Promotional prices move. Provider Audit Ready's A$1,095 was marked as a limited-time offer against a regular A$1,825 on the day we checked. Treat any single-day price index as a snapshot.
  4. We have a conflict of interest and are declaring it. SIL Ready sells one of the products listed. We have put our row in the table at its real price with a plain description and no claim of superiority, because a price index that argues for its author is not a price index. Judge the row against the others.
To the vendors listed. If we have your price, product scope or GST treatment wrong, or if you have changed it since 31 July 2026, email hello@silready.com and we will amend the entry and record that we did. If you publish a price and are not listed, tell us and we will add you. We would rather this page be accurate than flattering to us.
