A policy pack is not your self-assessment.

Fifteen Australian sellers offer “NDIS SIL documentation”. Almost none of them draw the one distinction that decides whether what you buy is any use to you before 1 October. Here is the distinction, and here is every seller with their real price.

Every price below was read off the seller’s own public page on 2 August 2026. Entity and ABN status come from the Australian Business Register, checked the same day. We sell in this market too, and we are in the table with everyone else.

The two purchases

Purchase one

Policies, procedures and registers

The documents an approved quality auditor reads at your Stage 1 desktop review — risk, incidents, complaints, medication, worker screening, and the SIL module standards.

 • When you need it: after you lodge, before your audit.
 • Who sells it: thirteen of the fifteen sellers below, from A$99 to A$3,850.
 • What it does not do: fill in a single box of your application.

Purchase two

The 26 self-assessment answers

The 26 boxes inside the Commission’s application portal. Each asks how your service does one thing — in your words, about your houses. You cannot lodge until all 26 are written.

 • When you need it: now, to lodge before 1 October 2026.
 • Who sells it done for you: on the evidence below, nobody but us, as at 2 August 2026, rechecked fortnightly.
 • Why templates cannot do it: the question is about your service, not about the standard.
Want to see the 26? They are all listed by name, with what the portal asks for each, at /self-assessment.
The practical test. Open the portal and look at box 1. If the product you bought does not contain a written answer for it, that product is purchase one, and purchase two is still ahead of you.

Every Australian seller we could find, with prices

Us first, then every other seller in the order we found them — not sorted by price, because several sell two different things and a single price column would flatter whoever quotes the smaller one. “Templates” means editable files you customise yourself, which is what the seller says, not our characterisation.

What the biggest template basket actually costs

Provider360 is the most complete template seller in the table and the most useful worked example, because every figure below is theirs, published on their own pages.

LineTheir published priceWhat you still have to do
Module 5A SIL documentation package$1,025 ex GSTCustomise every document
Core Module certification package$1,800 ex GSTCustomise every document

With the editing add-on$3,675 ex GST — about A$4,043 inc GSTStill write all 26 self-assessment answers yourself
SIL ReadyA$490 fixedAnswer 15 questions, about ten minutes

And the number that is better for them than the one above. They also sell a Mega Standard Package covering the Core module plus all five supplementary modules for $3,560 ex GST, reduced from $7,900. If you need more modules than SIL that is better value per module than the basket above, and we would rather point at it than let you find it afterwards and wonder what else we left out.

Two of their own clauses matter here, and we quote them because they are fair and unambiguous. On the self-assessment: “We may provide sample answers for reference only. We do not edit, verify or approve your customised self-assessment answers.” And on refunds: “Due to intellectual property protection, template purchases are final and non-refundable.” Ours is the opposite arrangement — you answer first and the payment button does not appear until your answers are saved.

This is not an argument that they are bad. Their documents are thorough and their support is real, and for the audit stage a provider may well want them. It is an argument about which job you are buying: after A$3,108 with them — A$4,043 if you take the editing — the 26 boxes in the portal are still empty.

And if you would rather not do any of it yourself

There is a third option, and it is a real one. Provider360 also sells done-for-you Platinum tiers: Verification Platinum $1,690 ex GST, Certification Platinum (Core Module) $3,650 ex GST and a Mega Platinum at $5,200 ex GST. Those are their published prices, read on their own page and checked on 7 August 2026. For that money they brand the documents inside 24 hours, lodge the application for you, recommend approved auditors, review you before the audit, and publish a money-back guarantee if registration is not achieved through their process. Consultants such as Provider Plus sit in the same territory at prices they do not publish at all.

If that is the job you want done, buy that. It is three to seven times what we charge, and it is a different purchase: the whole registration, not the 26 answers. Two things worth checking before you sign, in your own interest and not ours — whether the Platinum tier you are quoted covers the SIL module specifically rather than the Core module alone, and whether the self-assessment answers are written for you or still handed back for you to write. On their SIL package, the sentence quoted above is Provider360's own.

Where they beat us, plainly. NDISCompliant lets you preview every page of all 94 documents before you pay, and delivers instantly. Paperbark publishes a named NDIS Lead Auditor with her credentials, and gives away a free SIL self-rating worksheet and a free Verification toolkit. DSP is itself a registered NDIS provider. Provider Plus has been trading since 2018 and will get on the phone with you. Those are real advantages and you should weigh them. What none of them changes is that their product is not the 26 answers.
One more thing the table shows. This is a young market. Six of the fifteen ABNs were registered in the last four years, and three of them in the last twelve months — because the SIL registration requirement itself is new. Nobody here has a decade of SIL registration behind them, us included. Judge the product, not the letterhead.

Questions providers ask before they buy

Is a policy and procedure pack the same as the self-assessment?

No. A policy pack is the documents an auditor reads at your Stage 1 desktop review, after you have lodged. The self-assessment is the 26 boxes inside the NDIS Commission's application portal that you must fill in before you can lodge at all. Each box asks how your service does one thing, in your words. A pack of policies does not fill in a single one of those boxes, and a set of self-assessment answers is not a policy manual. Most providers who buy the wrong one find out at the portal.

I have already bought a $297 or $385 policy pack. Do I still need the self-assessment answers?

You still have 26 empty boxes. The pack you bought is genuinely useful for the audit that comes later, and nothing here says otherwise. What it does not do is write the application. If you are comfortable writing 26 answers of up to 300 words each about your own service, you do not need us. If you would rather not, that is what the A$490 buys.

Why not just pay someone to run the whole registration?

That is a fair option and sometimes the right one. Done-for-you registration runs from $1,690 ex GST for Verification to $3,650 ex GST for Certification with Provider360, checked on 7 August 2026, and consultants go past A$10,000 without publishing a price at all. What that buys is lodgement, branded policies and audit support — the whole job, done by someone else. What we sell is one piece of that job at A$490, and it is the piece nobody else writes. If your budget stretches to the full service and you would rather hand over everything, do that; just ask them first whether the SIL module and the 26 written answers are inside the quote.

Is this a template with my name dropped into it?

No, and the difference is checkable. Our answers are written from a 15-question intake about your houses, your staffing, your supervision and your overnight arrangements. Two providers with the same number of houses get materially different answers. You can read four finished answers in full, for a fictional provider, at /kit before you spend anything.

Which sellers write the answers for you rather than selling templates?

As at 2 August 2026, of the fifteen Australian sellers on this page, thirteen sell editable templates you customise yourself, one sells consultant coaching at an unpublished price, and one, Paperbark Quality Collective, generates policy documents from an interview. Provider One publishes handbooks of example self-assessment answers from A$120, and says itself that they “must be rewritten in your own words” — and it has no SIL handbook at all. None of the fifteen writes the 26 SIL self-assessment answers around your own service. That is the gap this service exists to fill.

Why do some sellers say 1 July and some say 1 October?

Both dates are real and they are different things. 1 July 2026 is when the SIL Practice Standards and the registration requirement commenced. 1 October 2026 is the cutoff to lodge your application and keep operating while it is assessed. If you are already delivering SIL, 1 October is the one that decides whether you keep getting paid.

Can you guarantee we pass the audit?

No, and be careful with anyone who does. The Commission and your auditor assess what you actually do, not only what your paperwork says. What we stand behind is our own wording: if an auditor raises a finding against something we wrote, we rewrite it free for 24 months, across two rewrite rounds.

What does the whole thing cost, not just your part?

Lodging with the Commission costs nothing. Our pack is A$490. Your certification audit is A$7,000 to A$10,000 paid to an approved quality auditor, not to us, and the spread between quotes is thousands, which is why we write you three quote-request emails ready to send. A provider starting from nothing should budget roughly A$8,500 to A$11,500 all up. Add A$300 to A$1,400 on top for policies and procedures from one of the sellers above. We do not sell those yet, and you will need them for the audit itself.

How and when do I pay?

Once, at the very end. You answer the intake first and see exactly what you are buying; the payment button does not appear until your answers are saved. Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Afterpay in four interest-free instalments of A$122.50 at no extra cost. A$490 is the full amount and nothing is added at checkout.

What do I still have to do myself?

Three things. Lodge the application yourself in the portal, because it is your application and your declaration. Fill in your own registers, because the entries have to be real. And read the pack against your actual service within seven days, which is what the A$50 review refund is for.

We have already applied. Is this still for us?

Possibly not, and we will tell you so. If you have already lodged, the self-assessment is behind you and what you need next is audit evidence, which is the Audit-Ready Pack and it is not on sale yet. Run the free readiness check and it will say A$0 if that is the honest answer.

Who is behind this?

SIL Ready is operated by Marco Parente, ABN 98 174 372 054, working to Melbourne time, contactable at hello@silready.com with a reply inside one business day. We are not an approved quality auditor and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by the NDIS Commission. Everything we claim on this site is checkable: the sample answers are published in full, the prices above are dated and sourced from the sellers' own public pages, and our terms are written in plain English.

How this page was made, so you can check it

Each seller’s public pages were fetched and read on 2 August 2026, and prices are reproduced exactly as written, including whether the seller states inc or ex GST. Where a seller publishes different prices for the same product on different pages, that is noted. Entity names, entity types and ABN registration dates were taken from the Australian Business Register on the same day. Where a seller publishes no ABN or legal entity, the table says so — that is a fact about their site, not a judgement about their product. The done-for-you Platinum prices in the section above were read on Provider360’s own page and checked separately on 7 August 2026.

We have an obvious interest here, so treat this as what it is: a comparison written by a competitor, with every number checkable in five minutes. If anything on this page is wrong, email hello@silready.com and we will correct it and say that we did. That applies to the sellers listed as much as to buyers.

Not sure which purchase you need? The free readiness check is seven questions, takes about ninety seconds, needs no card and no email, and tells you A$0 if the honest answer is that you do not need us.
